Overview

Tesco’s Stronger Starts has over £5 million worth of grants to award to UK schools, to help give children the strongest possible start in life through healthy food and activities.

What could your school do with £1,500?

If your school is shortlisted, you could be awarded between £500 and £1,500. Would you buy outdoor activity equipment, start a food-growing area, or support an after-school club? Whatever your project, apply for a grant now and get friends and supporters voting with blue tokens instore.

St Mark's Primary School in Irvine in Scotland used £500 to support their daily breakfast club, which offers children a healthy meal before school to kickstart their day. 

Between 80 to 100 children attend daily, alleviating the stress of morning routines for many busy families.

Apply for a grant

Fill in your application on the Stronger Starts website.

Voting round

If you’re shortlisted, you’ll be featured as a blue token cause in your local Tesco store.

Drum up support

Get everyone in your community adding blue tokens to your cause.

What you could get

If you’re shortlisted, you’ll receive at least £500. And if you get the most tokens in your voting pool, you’ll be awarded £1,500!
