Kingsmill - Terms and Conditions

  1. There are two ways to enter this competition:

    • Entrants can draw their design for or make their dream sandwich at home or at their school. They should use creativity and be as original as possible. Entries can include photos, images and words and can be in colour or monochrome. Entrants need to list ingredients on the entry form and include their drawing or photo. Entries must be sent to: Kingsmill Fun Lunch Competition, 8 Bolsover Street, London W1W 6AB."
    • Alternatively entrants can visit a Kingsmill Big Lunch stand from Friday 30th of March until Sunday the 29th of April (see Kingsmill facebook page for locations and dates (www.facebook.com/kingsmill)). Entrants must build their dream sandwich out of the materials provided, fill in an entry form accepting the terms and conditions and have their dream sandwich photographed by the promotional staff.
  2. Parental consent must be obtained before entering. Completed entry forms must be signed by a parent/guardian of the entrants.
  3. Entries must be received on or before the 1st May 2012. The Promoter reserves the right to revise this date and extend the period for accepting entries for the competition in the event of circumstances arising beyond its reasonable control.
  4. The competition is open to children aged 16 years and under, who are resident in the UK, with the exception of the Promoter's employees, agents or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion and their immediate families.
  5. Any entries which may infringe the intellectual property rights of a third party (e.g. exhibiting third party brand names) may not be accepted.
  6. Entry to the competition is free. No purchase is necessary.
  7. A panel of judges will select their 3 favourite recipes from each of the Promoter's 8 regions (Scotland, Pennine, Wales and West, Northern, Southern, London, Eastern and Midlands). Selection will be based on creativity and originality. These 24 recipes will be used in Kingsmill's My Fun Lunch downloadable recipe book.
  8. The entrants of the 24 recipes selected for the downloadable book will be entered into a random prize draw to win the 1st prize of: - £250 Toys R Us voucher
    - Chefs' outfits for their class at school
    - The ultimate Big Lunch for their street on the 3rd of June 2012 (including food and soft drinks for up to 100 people, plus decorations for a street party, furniture, crockery and the provision of a sound system)
  9. The random prize draw will take place on the 3rd of May 2012 and the winner will be notified by phone or letter within 1 week.
  10. Only one entry per person.
  11. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. If the prize is declined or if the winner forfeits the prize under these terms or conditions, then the judges may at their absolute discretion select an alternative winner.
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to change the prizes at any time in the event of circumstances arising beyond its reasonable control.
  14. For the name and county of the winners, please write to Kingsmill Fun Lunch Competition, 8 Bolsover Street, London W1W 6AB after the 3rd of June 2012.
  15. The entrants that created the 24 recipes selected for the downloadable recipe book will be expected to and must be prepared to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from the promotion and MUST be accompanied by an adult. No additional payment will be made for such promotional activities.
  16. Incomplete, illegible, misdirected or late entries will not be accepted.
  17. Responsibility cannot be accepted for lost, damaged or delayed entries.
  18. Entries cannot be returned and are the property of the Promoter. Copyright and all other intellectual property rights and interests in each entry will be and are hereby assigned to the Promoter. The entries may be used for, amongst other things, post-event publicity (including local newspapers) or for internal purposes including newsletters and presentations.
  19. By entering this competition, entrants will be deemed to be bound by and have accepted these terms and conditions.
  20. Information collected by the Promoter in this promotion is done so under the guidelines of the Data Protection Act and all information is held in accordance with the principles laid down by the Act. By entering the promotion, participants consent to the transfer of their personal data to third parties for the purposes of the administration of this promotion.
  21. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to add or change or waive any of these terms and conditions, or to cancel the competition at any stage, in the event of circumstance arising beyond its reasonable control.
  22. These terms and conditions are made under English law and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings in connection with this promotion.
